Club History
Nathalia Little Athletics Club INC was established in 1992 by founding President Lindsay Cooper. The club was originally run from the Nathalia Secondray School oval, before transitioning to the current location at the Nathalia Recreation Reserve.
In September of 2017 the club was fortunate enough to open their new triple and long jump tracks and pits. The 2 jump areas have been named "The Doug Cobbledick Jump PIts" Doug is a life member of the club who has contributed an enormous amount of time over many years educating athletes and parents.
Nathalia Little Athletics Centre INC (NLAC) is an affiliated club of Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic) which comprises of 104 centres across Victoria, and sees over 22,000 Little Athletes compete on a weekly basis. NLAC provides Track and Field competition and an On Track program for boys and girls in age groups Under 6 to Under 17.
NLAC is run by a dedicated committee as well as parents/carers and volunteers.
NLAC is part of the Northern Country Region (NCR) along with 20 other centres.
Little Athletics Victoria is broken into 7 regions. 4 metro and 3 country regions. Region Carnivals are held for Relays, Track & Field and Cross Country with the opportunity for athletes to compete in State events.
